The subject of psychic and medium reading rates has come up a lot the last few months. So here goes. . .
Are my rates high? Yes. People need to see my value to want my services, and it's an energy exchange. Clients make a financial AND emotional investment in themselves and the reading by giving something of value (money), to get something of value (a great reading). In today's society, the more we pay for something the more value and worth it has to most people. In many cases this is true.
Any reputable psychic or medium should deliver everything you need regardless of their price. If you pay an expensive reading rate you should get an excellent reading (in theory). Personally, I make sure every one of my clients gets full value during their reading.
BUT you shouldn't pay a purposely over-priced reading rate that reflects somebody's ego or costly overhead, rather than talent.
Do not be mislead to believe that exorbitant rates definitely means that they're "better than the rest" with psychics and mediums. Some practitioners charge a very high rate and are worth every penny, but not all for sure.
I don't normally ever concern myself with what another psychic charges because everyone sets their own value and prices. We are all adults and capable. I'm a New Yorker in that regard - worry about yourself, and there is no competition. People will work with who they are drawn too. Simple right?
When I do notice it's because the psychic or medium, regardless of where they are in the US, is charging exorbitant rates solely because they are chasing fame and wealth, and trying to appear more 'special' or advanced by high prices. They are also doing this at the expense of their client. Not only on their wallets, but the actual readings do not reflect accurate information or integrity, and are not about serving the client's best interest. That is just wrong.
Too many clients have come to me over the last 6 months very disappointed with a really costly reading with another psychic medium, after getting a less than stellar reading. They were let down and out of that money. Most of all, they didn't get what they needed. . . accurate guidance with their issues, or real connections with departed loved ones. They can't get that time, money or effort back. They learned though.
Sometimes the "hype" is just that, someone blowing hot air at you. Once a psychic, medium or healer starts choosing to obsess over fame, power, or making money instead of their clients needs it always goes bad over time.
Some honest, reputable psychic mediums with extravagant rates are okay with only a few clients a week. Others have raised their rates to try to work with mainly wealthy clients, which is perfectly fine to work with who they want to, yet more than a few of these practitioners are losing clients and desperately scrambling for new ones. Or they're trying new avenues for income. It's not likely that they'll admit this to you though.
Someone who may have been good a few years ago can be a completely different psychic or medium today because of their focus, or lack of, on their clients. It becomes all about their ego. This causes a lot of inaccurate information in a reading because they are not a clear and concise channel for your information because they are focused more on themselves then you (and what your guides are saying). Or they can lose interest in listening to and working with clients, burning out.
If you find a psychic or medium you like with a higher reading rate, evaluate if you can afford the reading now, maybe you have to save for a paycheck or two. Getting into financial issues is never a good idea. Be clear with yourself about what you want and need.
A few months ago I decided to do a reading with an "established" Canadian psychic, I wanted some real objectivity. It's rare I even do this. It was a bad experience. I was upset that she completely wasted 10 minutes of my 30-minute expensive reading talking about things that had no relevance to why I called! I have to say that it still has no relevance.
That experience made me even more hyper-aware of listening to my clients needs and your Spirit Guides, and staying out of the reading. A psychic or medium is only a channel or messenger of the information. And hopefully a very good one.
Please choose a psychic or medium who resonates with you and you like. Referrals are great, I built my business on them, but if that person who refers someone to you has not seen that "popular" psychic in a long time, think about checking out others also before deciding.
Also, they may have made a good connection with that psychic medium during their reading, but when you look at that psychic's website if you aren't feeling it, don't call, move on.
A great reading has enormous value to you when it helps you get clarity, healing and helps you start building a beautiful life. Let that be your only guide when choosing a psychic or medium to work with.
